Gate Money Launches With Bank Account Applications and Cross-Border Transfers

Gate announced Gate Money on October 7, 2026, at 17:56 Hong Kong time. It is a new section of the Gate app for bank accounts, funding and transfers.

Bank account applications inside the app

Users in eligible regions can apply for an electronic bank account in their own name. Gate describes an online application flow, with personal information submitted through the app. The announcement does not list supported countries or verification requirements, and approval is not automatic.

The guide shows a dedicated USD account application under Deposit, then Bank Transfer. Users select the currency, apply for an account and complete the requested personal information. The account's own terms govern deposits and transfers.

Funding and asset management

Gate Money connects bank transfers with fiat and digital asset conversion. The announcement also lists gold, stocks and ETFs among the assets users can manage there, though availability may vary by user.

Funding routes include a bank transfer to the user's named account, a transfer from a crypto wallet, or an internal transfer from a Gate spot account to a payment account. For wallet deposits, the guide requires selecting the asset and network before obtaining a deposit address.

Access and rollout

Gate Money requires Gate app v8.39.0 or later and appears as the Money entry on the app homepage; a web entry is also available. Gate says the service supports receiving funds in more than 60 local currencies. Expansion to Europe, Australia, Dubai and other markets is a future plan.
