Coinbase Completes Deribit Integration and Sets Out Its Options Rollout
Coinbase completed its Deribit integration. Options access, spot margin and unified portfolios follow separate rollout schedules and eligibility rules.
Coinbase announced on its blog on October 7, 2026, that it has completed its Deribit integration.
Separate rollout schedules
Options for eligible traders outside the US are planned in the coming weeks; US retail options are scheduled later this year. Coinbase Pro is planned to return at year-end. None of these features is live for all users yet.
Margin eligibility and risk
The roadmap includes spot margin and unified portfolios. Spot margin excludes ordinary US retail users; US access is limited to Eligible Contract Participants. Availability elsewhere depends on jurisdiction and eligibility. Borrowed trading can trigger liquidation and losses beyond the initial deposit.
