Binance Lists Ripple USD (RLUSD) and Waives Fees on RLUSD/USDT and RLUSD/U
Binance opened RLUSD/USDT, RLUSD/U and XRP/RLUSD trading on January 22, 2026 at 08:00 UTC, with zero fees on the first two pairs until further notice.
Binance listed Ripple USD (RLUSD), Ripple's dollar stablecoin, on January 22, 2026. Trading opened at 08:00 UTC, a day after the January 21 announcement.
Pairs and networks
Three spot pairs went live: RLUSD/USDT, RLUSD/U and XRP/RLUSD. Deposits opened right away and withdrawals were expected from 08:00 UTC on January 23. Binance did not charge a listing fee.
At launch Binance only supported the Ethereum version of RLUSD. Deposits over the XRP Ledger were marked "coming soon," so users had to pick the right network before sending funds.
Zero-fee trading
Binance removed maker and taker fees on RLUSD/USDT and RLUSD/U for spot and margin trading from the listing time until further notice. XRP/RLUSD was not part of the promotion. As with other zero-fee pairs, the volume does not count toward VIP tiers, and BNB discounts and referral rebates do not apply.
Users in the United States, Canada, Japan, Russia, the Netherlands and other restricted regions cannot trade these pairs.
About Ripple USD (RLUSD)
RLUSD is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, a subsidiary of Ripple Labs. According to the issuer, each token is backed by at least the same amount of US dollars and cash equivalents. It is issued on Ethereum and the XRP Ledger.
Ripple built RLUSD mainly for cross-border payments and for use by financial institutions and developers. Binance later ran other RLUSD campaigns, including a promotion paid in XRP.
