Kraken's 15th Anniversary Sweepstakes Gives 15 Winners 15 ETH Each
Kraken marked 15 years with a sweepstakes from August 5 to 31, 2026. Each $1 traded on Spot or Instant Buy earned an entry for one of 15 prizes of 15 ETH.
Kraken celebrated its 15th anniversary with a sweepstakes that ran from August 5 to August 31, 2026. Fifteen winners, drawn at random, each receive 15 ETH, for 225 ETH in total.
How to enter
- Enroll in the sweepstakes first. Trades made before enrolling do not count.
- Trade on Spot or Instant Buy. Every $1 traded earns one entry, up to 1 million entries per person.
Entries came from the Kraken app, the Kraken Pro app and Kraken Pro on the web, all feeding one pool and one draw. Kraken said it would contact winners after the draw.
Trades that did not count
- Bundles, xStocks and traditional equities
- Fiat-to-stablecoin and stablecoin-to-stablecoin trades
- Derivatives and margin trades
Who could take part
The sweepstakes was open in most of Kraken's markets, including the US, Canada and the EEA. Residents of the UK, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Turkey could not enter, and neither could residents of Florida, Maine, New York, Rhode Island, Puerto Rico or Quebec. No purchase or trade was necessary: eligible residents could request a free alternate entry.
Why ETH
Kraken opened in 2011 and says it was the first exchange to list ETH, in 2015. The prize ties those two anniversaries together.
