Binance Launches Foreign Exchange Perpetual Futures With USDBRLUSDT
Binance has launched its first Foreign Exchange perpetual futures contract, USDBRLUSDT (USD/Brazilian Real), giving traders 24/7 access to the USD/BRL rate through a USDT-settled contract.
Binance Futures launched its first Foreign Exchange (FX) perpetual contract, USDBRLUSDT, at 14:00 UTC on September 21, 2026. It tracks the spot exchange rate between the US dollar and the Brazilian real.
How FX perpetuals work
The contracts settle in USDT and have no expiry, so traders never handle the fiat currencies themselves. They trade 24/7, including weekends when traditional FX markets are closed, and funding rates keep the contract price close to the underlying rate.
When FX liquidity thins on weekends, Binance switches to a dual-mode pricing system and uses its own model to derive a fair-value price during low-liquidity periods.
