Bybit launched Perp Options on September 17, 2026, options written on stock perpetuals that trade 24/7 in USDT. The first contracts track SPCX and NVDA.

Bybit launched Perp Options on September 17, 2026 at 20:00 UTC. They are options contracts written on Bybit's stock perpetual futures rather than on the shares themselves, and Bybit calls them an industry first.

First contracts

Phase 1 included two underlyings:

  • SPCX (SpaceX) Perp Options
  • NVDA (NVIDIA) Perp Options
  • Bybit said it would add new expiries regularly and named TSLA, QQQ, SOXL and MU as the next underlyings. A later notice added more of these contracts at the end of September.

    How they work

  • Trading runs 24/7, including weekends, unlike listed equity options.
  • Each contract has a multiplier of 1, so there is no 100-share minimum.
  • Profit and loss settle in USDT.
  • The options sit in Bybit's Unified Trading Account alongside spot and futures.
  • Portfolio margin is available to all users, so hedged positions can need less margin.
  • Users can buy and sell options and trade spreads, straddles, covered calls and other strategies.
  • The contracts do not give ownership of the underlying shares. Options can expire worthless, and Bybit's stock-linked products are not available in some regions.
