About USAT

USAT (written USA₮ by its issuer) is a US dollar stablecoin from Tether, built for the US market. According to Bitget's notice, it is fully backed by short-term US Treasury bills, is issued with a federally regulated US digital asset bank, and is designed to fit the GENIUS Act, the US stablecoin law passed in 2025. Anchorage Digital Bank is the issuing partner.

USAT does not pay yield to holders. Tether positions it as a cash equivalent for exchanges and institutions in the US, separate from USDT, which serves markets outside the country.
